Median odometer reading by model year
Suzuki Swift: median odometer reading by model year Line chart of the median odometer reading in kilometres for each model year from 2014 to 2020, with the 10th to 90th percentile range shaded. The median is 89,848 km for 2014 and 26,268 km for 2020. The table lists every value.

A break in the line means that model year has no page, so no value is drawn for it.

What the table shows

The table covers model years 2014 to 2020 (model years with a page: 5; UK MOT readings in total: 50,711, from 2023 tests). The oldest model year, 2014, has a median of 89,848 km and the newest, 2020, 26,268 km: the older year’s median is 242% higher. The 10th to 90th percentile range is widest relative to the median for 2020 (156% of the median) and narrowest for 2015 (114%). Between directly consecutive model years (pairs compared: 3), the newer year’s median is on average 10,200 km lower. In every compared pair the newer model year has the lower median.

These are 2023 UK MOT observations of different cars at different ages: a cross-section of the fleet, not the history of any one car. Differences between model years reflect cars of different ages, not changes in an individual car’s mileage.
